The healing process takes about four weeks.
Be patient and follow instructions carefully.
Avoid direct sunlight and do not apply sunscreen while it is healing.
Do not soak your healing tattoo in water or engage in activities that will cause you to sweat excessively.
Keep pets away from your tattoo and handle it with clean hands.
Use non-scented ointments like Cetaphil, Aquaphor, or Vitamin A & D lotion to moisturize your tattoo while it is healing.
If you suspect your tattoo is infected, seek medical attention immediately.
If using a second skin to protect your tattoo, leave it on no more than 2-4 days and avoid strenuous exercise or sweating.
After removing the second skin:
Wash your tattoo twice a day using antibacterial soap and apply a thin layer of ointment.
Avoid excessive exercise, keep your tattoo clean, and protect it.
After one week, your tattoo may start to appear flaky, avoid picking at it.
